Located in the heart of Westmount, Martin Swiss Cycles is one of Montreal’s oldest bike stores. Opened in 1937, Martin Swiss has built it’s reputation on excellent mechanical service and for proper bike fitting.
Martin Swiss is a strong supporter and promoter of the sport in Quebec. They sponsor the Rio Tinto cycling team and the Antilopes Triathlon team.
Martin Swiss is also present at many cycling events around Montreal. They provide technical support for the Mardis Cyclistes criterium series in Lachine. This year Martin Swiss will be providing the technical support for the Ride to Conquer Cancer from Montreal to Quebec City.
Martin Swiss is also supporting Andie Bennett (Producer and on-air personality on the Mitch Melnick Show -Team 990 3pm to 6pm) in her quest to complete the CIBC 401 Bike Challenge, from Toronto to Montreal in 2.5 days. The CIBC 401 Bike Challenge is a 576km endurance ride that raises funds for the Sarah Cook Fund of the Cedars Cancer Institute making an important difference in the lives of children facing cancer.
Andie is new to the world of performance road biking and Martin Swiss is helping Andie make the transition from her hybrid bicycle. Andie came into the store to be fitted on a Trek 1.5 that Martin Swiss has provided her for the ride.Over the course of an hour, Steve Dennis made sure that her frame size, seat position, seat height and reach were appropriate given her height, torso length and flexibility. This service is included in all purchases of road bikes at Martin Swiss. It is also available to anyone, by appointment.
